About Outland
Outland is a video & film production company. We’re obsessed with exploration; both in the wilderness and in storytelling. We work directly with brands, production companies, and individuals to produce films focusing on the outdoors and the humans that move through it.
More practically, we move film projects from concept to completion, with expertise in every phase of the process. Ideation, preproduction, locations, production, and post. Having established a professional network in both the film and outdoor industries, Outland assembles artists and athletes to accomplish challenging film projects.

Outland Film was created by Josiah Jones. For years, his love of mountaineering and career in film existed separately. After over a decade of building his competency in both the outdoors and filmmaking, he was compelled to join these two passions together.
In his 15 years as a filmmaker, Josiah has gathered experience in everything from commercials, documentaries, narrative films, and branded content.
In his 10 years in the Colorado Rockies, he’s climbed nearly every 14,000 foot peak in the state and is actively broadening his mountain skills each year.
